"The lecture, titled The Middle East: From Hope to Terror, explored the political developments that have shaped the region over the past 70 years. Ahmad Joumaa provided a comprehensive overview, tracing the evolution from the secular-oriented independence movements that emerged in the post-war era, through the rise of religious movements in the 1980s, to the contemporary tragedies unfolding in Gaza. His presentation was both insightful and highly educational, supported by an excellent PowerPoint display that enhanced the audience’s understanding. By the end of the lecture, attendees left feeling thoroughly informed and enlightened—in short, we had all become a little wiser.
Ahmad Joumaa’s clear and accessible delivery, free of unnecessary jargon, made the lecture suitable for a wide audience, including adults as well as children and young people. Through his emphasis on education and fostering mutual understanding, he highlighted the potential for future generations to contribute to a more compassionate and peaceful world—one that stands in stark contrast to the challenges we face today."

Self-Knowledge as a Path to Integration: Uniting Cultures and Identities: “I had the great pleasure of attending the lecture Integration Through Self-Knowledge by Ahmed Joumaa. Ahmad introduced me to aspects of Middle Eastern and Arab culture and history that were entirely unfamiliar to me, despite the extensive media coverage the region often receives. The lecture, with its compelling blend of knowledge and thoughtful reflection, highlighted the need for curiosity and openness when encountering people and cultural differences—perhaps we have far more in common than we tend to believe? It was an excellent and highly relevant presentation, leaving me eager to learn more and engage in further conversations about the themes of integration and culture.

In a modern world, multicultural competencies are part of everyday life. It is essential that modern individuals can navigate situations where participants come from diverse cultural backgrounds. On several occasions, I have witnessed how Ahmad Joumaa has the ability to communicate cultural topics to broad segments of the population. Ahmad Joumaa's professional background equips him with the tools and language to explain complex cultural issues in an accessible way to people from all walks of life.

Project Manager at the Royal Library Denmark
I have collaborated with Ahmad Joumaa on the national library project New Users? A 180⁰ Rethinking of the 'Library', where Ahmad served as the local project manager in Sønderborg. Ahmad developed a highly creative and inspiring awareness campaign through the art exhibition I Love You, Freedom, which educated the local community about the history and background of refugees. The aim was to foster a better understanding of the refugees' situation while providing them with a thorough introduction to the opportunities available at the library. Ahmad excels at building networks through personal relationships. The project in Sønderborg was a great success, and Ahmad is an excellent communicator who was in high demand for various themed events afterward.
I give Ahmad my warmest recommendations!”

I participated in a themed day on libraries and integration, led by Ahmad Joumaa. Both as a course leader and speaker, I found Ahmad to be highly competent and dedicated. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the field. Although a historical overview might sound dry, Ahmad made it lively and engaging, serving as an important framework for understanding integration in a library context. He has a practical understanding, and thanks to his library background, he used excellent examples that felt very relevant to everyday library work. His RONN integration strategy is straightforward and easy to implement, and Ahmad’s ability to identify the participants’ needs made the discussions feel relevant, inspiring, and conducive to building networks.
